Entrepreneurship
One person get ready in the morning goes to office and do work from 9 to 5. He receives a fixed salary from his office. If he is in government office then he
get house and other facilities also but in private office he receives only salary and nothing else. Let us take another example of a business man who started his company. He is free to go in his office and also he receives variable salary, like if there is profit then his salary increases and if there is loss then his salary can be reduced also. So when we talk about either do a job or start own business then there is different opinion for different people. First we can study the various characteristics of both persons.
Characteristics of employee in Entrepreneurship:-
1. Fixed salary
In Entrepreneurship the first thing which an employee differ from entrepreneur is he has the fixed salary in a month. He is very much secure about his salary. He spends and saves in a month according to the salary. He has control over his expenditure.
2. Lack of initiative
Some person did not like to take the responsibility. They only like to do the work they areassigned to and finish them and go to their home. Also they do not like to take self propelled initiatives. They also leave decisions to be taken by their boss. They think why they take risk.
For those people I thought employee job is better.
3. No risk
There is no risk at their cost in fixed salary if you do your work properly. There are managers at high level who take certain risk on their own responsibility but it is calculated one. They have some safeguards so that if there is any wrong happens then there is no blame on them and also they can be able to bear the consequences.
4. Designation consciousness
They are very much conscious about their designation. They take pride in their designations and also there is security in the job for the person and also for his family. In Entrepreneur there are some respectable positions in an organization in which the salary is more than many entrepreneurs.
5. Freedom
In an organization there is no such freedom as you are answerable to your boss. You cannot do anything without asking any senior person in your office. If you do then you may be suspended or something else. Like if we consider an entrepreneur then he is free to do anything but then he is answerable to his customers. So he also does not have total freedom.
6. No mastery
Sometimes the persons acquired are not so good at their work. They are not the masters of their work. And if sometimes any work given to them then they just stand they did not know ABC of work how to do.
Above we study the various characteristics of an employed person.
Now we see the characteristics of an entrepreneur in Entrepreneurship :-

1. Dreamer and risk taker
The entrepreneur in entrepreneurship is one who dreams of making something and start a business. He is the only first person who takes all the risk. He believes in work. He do his very best to fulfil his dream. He knows that without taking a risk you could not achieve success.
2. Not status conscious
They are very less concerned about their position and status as they are the owner they do not have to think about their position in the company. The only thing that matters for them is their dream and they have to succeed in it. Everything else will not matter for them.
3. Not worried about fixed income
They are prepared for the unsteady income. As we all know that their income is not fixed because of the ups and downs in their work. Either they have some savings for the bad time or they try to overcome downs in their work.
4. They are masters
As they are the boss of the company so they are not answerable to anyone except he knows that customers are the ultimate boss but they do anything they would like to serve to their customers. They can themselves choose their customers and what to serve them. Like an employee they are not answerable to their managers or boss. As they are the one who take
risk so they can also enjoy their freedom and also they are prepared for the consequences to
face.
5. He knows his job
As they start their company they know everything about it and also have the full knowledge of their work. They know what they want to do or not. They are ready to do every work in his office like if it is a mechanic job or giving a presentation to others.
We discuss the various characteristics of an employer and an entrepreneur by entrepreneurship
The major differences in Entrepreneurship are:-
1. Income
This is the major difference between both. An employer receives a fixed salary per month but an entrepreneur income can vary according to his business in entrepreneurship. His income does not depend on month. He continuous does his work and receives money according to it. And also, like we take an example of lecturer. The way of his teaching does not affect his salary. But the
work and the quality of products and entrepreneur as in Entrepreneurship is offering had an impact on his income. If he did well he earn more and if he did not work well and his customers do not like it then he earn nothing.
2. Hiring another human
When we are employed we are isolated ourselves by another person in the office. But if the company is yours then you did not have to isolate yourself rather you can hire another person to help conduct your business. So there is a team work in your company to achieve a same goal. But as an employer you compete with another employer to get promotion. You do work for better position not because you love it as in your own company. So there is no team work.
3. Learning from mistakes
In entrepreneurship If you are self employed person then you learn from mistakes as when there is lose of yourmoney you avoid to do those mistakes.
As every business is having risks so if you did not deliver a good service to the market, then there is lose in your business and you learn from mistakes. On the other hand, we take an example of a lecturer if he do any mistakes in his job then there will be no immediate economic effect on him therefore there is no learning from mistakes. In my opinion self employment is the better option. We know that there is risk in your business but as the coin has the two sides if you succeed then you play in money. You are the only boss. You can give order to other people. You did not want to listen to others except your customers. The preference of self employment over wage employment is like as follows:-
a) Self employment in entrepreneurship offers opportunity for using one’s own talent for one’s benefit. You canuse your ability and time in the most profitable manner through self- employment.
b) Self employment is possible even without large resources of capital and other facilities. Like if we start a shop of anything then it does not need so much resources.
c) In self employment, the person learns many things on the job because he has to take all decisions regarding his business activities for his own benefit. Employers are just follows their boss. They have to say yes in his boss work. They are sometimes acts like slaves for them. He always hopes for getting higher positions but he cannot reach to the top position and take the place of owner of the company. If you work through entrepreneurship, then it takes more planning and hard work. Employers are doing work for fulfilling the others dream. There is no dream for them; they are just giving their hard work for other dream. So in entrepreneurship, it’s better to be an entrepreneur and do work for your own dream.
